On October 5, 2013, Ven. Abbot Yongxin led the delegation to depart from China Songshan Shaolin Temple to go to America for “The First North American Shaolin Cutural Festival”. The Festival is sponsored by China Songshan Shaolin Temple and co-sponsored by Shaolin Association of North America and American Shaolin Cultural Center. During the festival, various activities including Blessing prayer, Dharma lecture on Shaolin culture, Shaolin Chan meditation experience, Shaolin culture heritage exhibition, Shaolin Kungfu performance will be held in Harvard University, New York, Los Angeles and other place.
On the evening of October 6, 2013 (local time in America), Shaolin Culture Delegation led by Ven. Abbot Yongxin arrived in Boston and a series of cultural exchange activities including “Shaolin Culture Goes to Harvard University”, "Shaolin Culture Goes to UN Headquarters” will be held soon.
"We hope to show the harmonious philosophy of Shaolin culture and the healthy life- style from Shaolin Chan meditation and let everybody experience the essence of the oriental culture through the Festival.” Ven. Abbot Yongxin said.
